…a few small coffee or tea stains that was easily wiped off. I noticed no residual greasy or dirty film on the headset itself. It appeared completely new and all the protective labels and protective wrapping were still on it. The silicone and foam appeared as new also, while the silicone face ring was still in the original paper sleeve.

The headset arrived with about 45% state of charge, I set up as new and installed Gravity sketch for work and did all the usual FB login stuff and it was working within minutes. After I was done with the setup, I charged it fully and the battery did get to a full 100%, even though it was noted that these were at least able to hold 90% charge from new. The entire box arrived as a new one would, but the tape seals did indicate that the item was refurbished.

I’ve added some anti-slip hexes and cat tongue tape in the photos, as these are the only photos I have of the unit. The addition of these helped grip so much, there’s less fatigue for extended sessions from gripping the hand units too tightly or fear of them slipping out of your hands. I’m not a fan of the silicone sleeves or socks that add too much thickness, and even weight, especially when used in 3D sketching and modeling, where slower and more precise movement is required.

Totally worth it if you get a good one and the full warranty and packaging are "as-new". Saved myself $50 for a tool that's needed for work while I return the one I've been borrowing for Gravity sketch training for auto design modeling. BTW, Gravity sketch is an amazing tool that's quite powerful.. The games and apps available are amazing as well.. very excited to try out the other capabilities and apps with this Quest 2!

Waited for software development. Can't describe how wowed I am. The software by 3rd parties is excellent. Be prepared to spend an additional $100 to $200 on apps. Most are reasonably priced from $10 to $20.

This is a far cry above the cellphone VR goggles. Plus the apps will mostly store on your Meta Quest.

All the apps have trailers or demos and some have returns and yearly fees outside the demos.

Can't say enough about how real the Meta Quest is. Best example is imagine stepping into your TV set and becoming part of the show!

I bought the renewed version as I didnt have the money for a brand new headset, and this came with some of its own issues. The controllers werent properly linked and it was a struggle to relink them through the oculus app, but I somehow did it after a couple hours of messing around with it. Now it works as great as ever, I don't think the battery lasts as long as it should but I could be wrong. I do experience small issues here and there but I honestly can't tell if it's a Meta/Oculus software issue or it's an issue with the headset. Overall I don't regret my purchase and I use it very often.
